Mini Mystery Artwork are tiny original pieces that bring little moments of joy!
These tiny are pieces (2.5” x 3”) are wrapped in a bright, colorful mini envelope topped off with googly eyes for a little extra whimsy. Each mini is one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted with a mix of mediums that make every piece completely unique. Each piece is a one of one but there are themes of fruits, veggies, and animals within them.
The idea started with my curiosity for rubber block stamp carving, a medium I hadn't touched since I was a kid. I began creating small block print designs including tomatoes, oranges, tulips, and fish that fit perfectly on these tiny canvases. No two are ever alike. While the stamp gives each piece its playful and similar starting point, I experiment with color (traditional and not so traditional!) and layer in different mediums like micron pens, oil pastels, acrylics, and markers within the icons, over top, and into the background.
The result is a series of “mystery minis” that feel like tiny treasures - surprising, joyful, and completely original. Some of my mini mysteries come with an extra bit of personality as they dawn tiny faces that give an extra cute factor when getting revealed. They’re small in size but full of personality, crafted to bring a little burst of art and delight to anyone who opens them.
